Hi! As you know from the lengthy URL, my name is Sean Wagner-McGough. I’m a former journalist, a current law student, and a writer who loves science fiction and fantasy.

After graduating from Cal in 2014 with a degree in political science, I began working as a staff writer, podcaster, and analyst for CBS Sports. In five-plus years at CBS Sports, I covered the NFL, Golden State Warriors, Women’s World Cup, English Premier League, boxing, college football, golf — and probably more sports I’m forgetting about — through writing, podcasting, and on-camera work. 

In 2020, I decided to walk away from journalism to attend the University of Colorado Law School. Currently, I’m in my second year at CU Law, where I’m focused on environmental law.

Along the way, I’ve never lost my love for writing. In 2020, I started a newsletter about movies, called The Long Shot. In 2016, I started working on my own science-fiction novel. This July, I finally finished my manuscript. I’m now working on attaining representation and getting the book published.
